My Personal Testimony
In the spring of 2006, we were thrilled to find out that I was expecting our first child. The pregnancy went perfectly until the 20 weeks. The ultrasound scan showed an abdominal cyst inside her tiny body. Instead of dissolving as the doctor predicted, the cyst kept growing and placing pressure on surrounding organs. I was very concerned and felt physically and emotionally exhausted through the pregnancy.
Immediately after Julie’s birth at 42 weeks, everything seemed to be a challenge. She would cry (scream) for hours and seemed to be in pain. My hormones were all messed up and I couldn’t stand to listen her cry violently. I would cry with her and felt overwhelmingly guilty about not being able to help. At six months old, Julie received a surgery and her colic was under control. My depression, on the other hand, grew deeper. I did not feel the connection with her, and I questioned my true love to her. The depression not only affected my ability to care for my baby, but also casted shadow on my relationship with my family.
At that time, I started extensive reading and research on natural remedies to battle the depression. Intrigued by an online article of the Traditional Chinese Method of placenta encapsulation, I decided to give it a try. I had my placenta encapsulated after the birth of my second child. Immediately, I felt a surge of energy, and most importantly, I was happier. Fueled by passion, I had my next placenta encapsulated. The result was again very positive, and I had no sign of baby blues.
Being a mom of three is tough work. I am thankful that placenta capsules had supported me through those difficult postpartum periods of life and have made me a happy mom. Being able to experience first-hand the healing power of the placenta, I feel obligated to share such a wonderful thing with my friends and my clients.
Through my five years of practice as a Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist (CPES), I had the most rewarding experience to connect with new moms, and to witness the power of the placenta. The postpartum stories of each mom I served boosted my excitement and determination to help raise awareness of the incredible value of placenta. I since became a Mentor with PBi and offer training opportunities to prospective specialists. I look forward to using my professional knowledge to help you experience a joyful, energetic, and well balanced postpartum period.
